The distinctive Adirondack chair takes its name from the high country in upstate New York. Traditionally made from Pine and painted white, you can also use Redwood or Cedar and allow it to weather naturally, or finish with an clear or pigment exterior stain.

It’s a lawn chair which features a combined seat support and back leg, giving it the lines that just make you want to put it under a tree, grab a book and a nice long drink and forget the world around you.

The completed chair is approximately 27” wide x 27 1/2” deep by 28 1/2” tall, and with selective shopping standard patio chair cushions can be obtained to fit.

Treated lumber is recommended, though any weather-resistant lumber such as cedar or redwood can be used.
